S

S hoshana is amongst the first women in the history of Judaism to be trained as a Soferet STaM (Torah scribe). She is one of five women in the world currently writing a sefer Torah, the first to be written by women. Shoshana is serving as the lead scribe for The Women's Torah project (www.womenstorah.com), a unique and inspiring Torah scroll being created by trained women scribes across three continents.

As part of her work and love for the art, Shoshana has developed a series of workshops for a 1- 2 week residency program, catered to synagogue, day school and Hillel communities, in which she repairs Torah scrolls on-site and facilitates a variety of art and text-study classes.
