M uch of Shoshana's work is influenced by the collective and personal experience of being a woman. She draws her inspiration from the cultures in which she resides, the landscape by which she is surrounded and her own spiritual practice and experience as a Jewish woman living in Israel today. Shoshana's work incorporates text and story in the lives of women and is expressed in explorations of the inner and outer "landscape" of womanhood. The majority of the works displayed here are creations in plaster exploring woman's relationship to self and to the other - in this case the mother, the daughter, the unborn child and for many women their own bodies.
