. . .and you shall inscribe (these words) on the door posts of your house and upon your gates. . .

T he Biblical injunction to inscribe the words of Deuteronomy chapter six on the door posts of our homes is traditionally written on a piece of parchment which is encased in an ornamental covering and affixed to the entryways of Jewish homes and community spaces. This unique Mezzuzah is designed to adorn the entrance to your synagogue, community center, educational institution, summer camp or other center of Jewish life. The Mezzuzah Project brings this mitzvah to life by literally carving these words onto a custom-crafted, wooden door post which surrounds an entryway in your home or center of Jewish life.
The Mezzuzah Project serves as a means to raise funds for your community institution. Members of the community pledge their support by purchasing letters and thereby participating in an act similar to the time-honored tradition of sponsoring letters when a new Sefer Torah is written. Letters may be purchased in honor or memory of parents, children, teachers, friends or others. Additionally, one may chose a specific word to purchase or create words by purchasing a variety of letters. Shoshana has helped raise over $70,000 by combining her artwork in Hebrew letters with fundraising efforts.
For all who participate, the joy of uniting sprits through the beauty of this mitzvah with Shoshana's unique artwork is infinitely rewarding.
